On 8/20/09, Phone Duty received a request for assistance from GADENR regarding an abandoned drum in Augusta, GA. The drum was discovered at an abandoned residential property by Richmond County Code Enforcement. The drum was reported to be full and in poor shape. On 8/21, phone duty contacted the Augusta Fire Department regarding their ability to respond to the abandoned drum. Augusta Fire Department was unable to respond. Makings on the drum indicated the presence of pesticides (toxic). R2 Stilman and START dispatched.
