A citizen noted the creek was a bright green color and reported several dead fish in the water.  Along with the abnormal color, the citizen reported an odor to the water in the creek as well.

Oklahoma City Public Works Department had an overflowing manhole to a sanitary sewer that was found by an Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality representative during an investigation.

The citizen called the EPA Region 6 Emergency Response Hotline to report the unknown substance in the creek. The citizen also reported the incident to the National Response Center (NRC Report # 869993).

EPA On Scene Coordinator Enders and an EPA Team mobilized to the site from Dallas, Texas to assess the creek, coordinate with the reporting party and provide assistance and/or cleanup as needed.
