On 06/23/2016 at approximately 2200 hours MDT, EPA Region 10 was notified by Idaho State Communications Center of a sheen and fuel oil odor from and unknown source along approximately 800 feet of shoreline on the west side of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. EPA was requested to respond by McCall Fire Department to assist in identifying and containing the source of the spill. OSC Weigel responded morning of 06/24/2016 and assisted McCall FD in located apparent seep discharging onto the lake shore from under the deck of a beach side residence and into Payette Lake. McCall FD placed containment and sorbent boom. OSC Weigel activated the EPA ERRS contractor to respond.
