EPA Headquarters contacted EPA Phone Duty Office McCormick about receiving a call from EPA Rep in DHS NOC about a Gas Well Explosion in Decatur, Texas. Initial reports indicated that two workers were welding at a Gas Production Facility where one tank exploded and four caught on fire. Bridgeport and Decatur Fire Departments responded and continue to foam the tanks

Wise County fire marshal, Marc Dodd indicated that the two workers werre burned, minor burns, first degree. One started having respiratory difficulties, so they flew him to Parkland hospital. The other one went by car to the local hospital.
