On December 20, 2010, a representative from Dixie Chemical Company reported a 15,000 gallon spill of a mixture of Dimethyl glutarate and Dimethyl adipate at approximately 2:30 a.m. that morning. The report (NRC 962694) indicated the material spilled from a railcar on a spur and migrated off-site. OSC Adams was in the Pasadena, Texas area and responded to assess the incident after being activated by the PDO that same morning.
