US EPA Region 4 Emergency Response and Removal Branch received a request from NC DENR (RCRA) to assist in the characterization and removal of more than 100 drums and containers that were abandoned in a storage unit complex (The Mini Storage Center). The drums and containers were discovered in four different storage units (M24, 028, 029, and R14). These units were previously rented by Dove Environmental. The drums and containers were discovered by The Mini Storage Center staff after Dove Environmental failed to pay rent and the units were opened.
