OSC Muller continues to coordinate U.S. EPA response activities. The product has been identified as gasoline. Water body impacted was the Upper Rouge River a branch of the Rouge River. Sheen is no longer present on the Upper Rouge river. Containment boom was deployed and captured the oil in a backwater/wetland area as it discharged from an outfall. Precautionary booming is in place on the Upper Rouge River. MDEQ is on-scene. OSC Muller is working with the State and local drain commission to find the source/PRP. START contractor is providing air monitoring support. ERRS contractor is providing cleanup resources. Vacuum trucks have been deployed to remove the contained oil. Site conditions appear to be stabilized with no ongoing discharge of oil. One residence in the area. START contractor providing air monitoring inside and outside of the home and has not detected any elevated readings.
