This is an abandoned plating shop referred to EPA by the San Bernardino Co. Fire Department (SBCoFD). See the Bulletin link for the EPA and DTSC activities as of March 4, 2013.

The initial removal was completed by the California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) Emergency Response program. DTSC's contractor removed all of the plating liquids for off-site disposal. The PRP attempted to complete the removal but was unable to obtain sufficient funds to do the removal. EPA completed the CERCLA Fund Lead Removal Action in mid August 2013. Post removal sub slab assessment identified the potential presence of heavy metal contamination beneath the slab. The remediation of the sub-slab contamination will be referred to the SARWCB. No further EPA action expected for this site.
