At 2000 on 03 September 2008, EPA Phone Duty Officer OSC McCormick received a requested form Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Dallas HazMat to assist for air quality issues to a 3-Alarm fire. At approximately 1800 pm, a fire broke out at Gold Metal Recyclers, a large scrap metal facility, located at 4305 South Lamar in Dallas, Texas. OSC Brescia and START were mobilized to the scene.
