On September 5, 2018 at approximately 11:00 am a United Oil tanker truck hauling approximately 4800 gallons of gasoline and diesel was involved in a wreck with a pick-up truck. Several compartments of the tank were impacted and gasoline and diesel leaked into a roadside Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) right-of-way for approximately 200 yards. An irrigation canal was directly adjacent to the wreck and water flow was shut down immediately. Hay bales were placed in the canal. The canal flows 1 mile south before flowing into the Snake River.
