The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) is conducting an investigation regarding an oil spill from an unknown source into a storm water sewer located at PR-127, Guayanilla, Puerto Rico.

The sewer is discharging the accumulated oil into the Caribbean Sea.

USEPA initially provided technical assistance to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) under a Pollution Removal Funding Authorization (PRFA) assigned to Federal Project Number (FPN) # M13011 (EPA site ID # Z2B9).

The USCG has passed the lead to EPA. EPA is continuing this investigation under FPN E13204 (EPA site ID # Z2BB)
