On April 21, 2013 about 5pm (Central time) the Marshall County (IL) Emergency Management Agency (EMA) discovered that an above ground fuel storage tank (used to refuel boats) from the Henry Harbor Marina (Henry, IL) had broken off its supports due to heavy flooding and had started floating downstream on the Illinois River. Another tank was also starting to break off its supports. EMA reported the incident to the NRC at 7:17pm (NRC#1044650).

The U.S. Coast Guard and County EMA requested EPA's Assistance to secure the tanks. OSC Mendoza mobilized to the Site on April 22.
