The National Park Service requested EPA's assistance to deal with gasoline and other engine fluids that covered about 3/4 of Tipsoo Lake, as a result of a collision that involved 2 passenger vehicles and an RV. Tipsoo Lake is only a few acres in size, but a much photographed picturesque and fragile alpine lake. The Park Service requested assistance in overseeing and directing cleanup. The Park Service has hired NRC as a cleanup contractor.
