Tanker truck impacted by a vehicle causing it to flip and spill approximately 2000 gal of Kerosene into a wetland area that drains into Gumm Creek, secondary tributary of the Deep River in Sanford, North Carolina.

Response crews constructed berms to divert water from coming into the wetland areas as well as to cutoff any potential sheet flow discharge into the creek.

Response crews applied absorbent booms and utilizaed vactrucks to collect approximately 40,000 gallons of contaminated water and kerosene from wetland area.
