An EPA OSC and START were deployed to a train derailment in Oakwood, Texas. UP reports that four cars are in Keechi Creek after a bridge collapsed causing a train derailment. The State of Texas State Operations Center (SOC) reports the train derailment with chemical hazmat and fire. The derailment occurred near the Hearne Subdivision over the Keechi Creek in Oakwood, Leon County. At least two cars are on fire. There are evacuations of a half mile radius near the fire and explosion. Responding agencies include: Leon County SO, Leon County Fire and Rescue, TXDPS Highway Patrol Bryan & RLOs 6A and Sub 2B.
