On May 3, 2016 Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LARPA) contacted EPA Region 10 to request the assessment and removal of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) and asbestos contaminated debris from a partially demolished mobile home.

There was a fire in the home in mid-April. As a result the home owner contracted for the demolition and disposal of the home. LRAPA received an anonymous complaint alleging improper handling of asbestos. LRAPA inspectors determined that ACM was present and were concerned that demolition activities produced friable asbestos that may pose a human health risk.

OSC Becker deployed to the site on May 4, 2016 with two START and one ERRS contractor.
