On June 11, 2021, the City of Newark requested EPA assistance in conducting a potential time critical removal action at the Quality Chemical Site located at 217 South 21st Street, Newark, Ohio.  The Site building contains numerous waste drums and tote containers.  EPA conducted a Removal Site Investigation on July 8, 2021. An Action Memorandum for a Time-Critical Removal Action was signed by EPA on August 30, 2021. EPA will complete the removal action to address the threat of release of hazardous substances contained in these containers.
