The Site is located at 529 South Royal Avenue, Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama. The abandoned and former electro-plating facility was known to have operated for over 40 years at this location. The site has been referred to EPA ERRB for removal evaluation by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). On November 6, 2008, EPA visited the Site and noted the presence of leaking and unstable drums and containers. An Emergency Removal Action was initiated by the OSC to stablize the Site.
