EPA began a Time-Critical action consisting of the removal of PCB-contaminated soil from a residential yard, residential right-of-ways and one commercial property on May 27, 2014. Assistance from ERB was requested by the Remedial Branch after the Remedial Investigation confirmed levels of PCBs in residential areas above Removal Management Levels. The Time-Critical removal will consist of removing and disposing of unsecured PCB-contaminated soils at or near the ground’s surface throughout the site.
