On 4/24/2015 Ohio was notified by the Swanton Fire Department of a suspected release of off road diesel fuel which was in a storm sewer, Prairie Drain, and headed towards Swan Creek in Swanton, Lucas County, Ohio.

Ohio EPA requested assistance on 4/25/2015 to US EPA to respond and clean up the material as a source had not been identified, although there was one suspected source. US EPA responded on 4/25/2015 and initiated response and cleanup activities.
