Agent Orange and Dioxin residues continue to contaminate soil and sediment in and around Da Nang airport, which formerly was a US Airbase. EPA is assisting the Government of Viet Nam in remediating the on-going exposure threat. Bioremediation appears to be a cost-effective solution, and ERT along with EPA Region 9 and a pilot study is being conducted to evaluate the feasibility of treatment.
