At 0945 on 8/1/2008, EPA Region 10 Emergency Response Program received notification of a 15,000 gallon diesel spill at the ATT complex in Bothell, Washington.

Diesel fuel was reported to have been spilled into a storm drain from a failed day-tank overfill & alarm system. It is unknown whether the storm drain system for the office complex drains to North Creek, which runs adjacent to the office complex. North Creek is a tributary to the Sammamish River, which drains into Lake Washington. [Note: It was subsequently determined that storm drain leads to a retention/wetland pond which drains to Par Creek, then into the Sammamish River, and finally into Lake Washington.]

OSC Smith and two (2) START contractors were dispatched to the scene along with WA Ecology Spill Responders and the Bothell Fire Department.
