NRC Incident Report #726705 reported a BNSF Railroad Train Derailment in Overbrook, Love County, Oklahoma of an Anhydrous Dimethylamine tank car exploding due to unknown causes. An unknown amount of cars are in a pile and derailed. Approximately 100 residents within a one mile radius were evacuated due to potential hazmat release. EPA OSC Franklin and R6 START are in-route to coordinate with BNSF Incident Commander, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) and locals on-scene in the Unified Command and provide air monitoring. Due to the location of the derailment, Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) are joining the response due to the closeness of impacting potentially the Texas border county of Grayson and to provide additional air monitoring capabilities.
