The Charleston 10th Avenue Vapor Intrusion TCE Site is a private family residence. It is located in a mixed residential/commercial/light industrial area. EPA received a request from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) to assist the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (WV DHHR) Bureau for Public Health in evaluating a residence located near the former FMC chemical plant in South Charleston, WV. The EPA OSC and a START contractor mobilized to the Site on January 2, 2018 to conduct indoor air monitoring.
