NRC 890073 - Austell, GA - OSC Buerki was dispatched to the scene of a ruptured aviation kerosene pipeline. During the day on Nov. 14 a spill was discovered by Colonial Pipeline personnel and as of nightfall on Friday, the source had not been found. OSC Buerki provided oversight of the cleanup operations. At the time the report was made, the pipeline had reported a leak of 2000 gallons a day. An interceptor trench was dug to keep the kerosene from reaching water.
