On 26 January 2013, a Connect Transport, LLC Transport truck carrying approximately 200 barrels of light sweet crude oil was involved in a traffic accident on the east bound lane of US Highway 412 west of Sand Springs, Osage County, OK. As initially reported, the transport truck spilled approximately 100 barrels of crude oil on the south side bank of US Highway 412, and into Keystone Lake (NRC # 1036660). Initially the RP and RP contractor began conducting cleanup activities and removal of the truck transport and oil, but poor weather conditions impeded the cleanup process. On 30 January 2013, the USFWS requested the US EPA to respond for assistance.
