NRC # 784102 - Cannonsburg, KY - At 0630 on 03 JAN 06 a fire was discovered in a Landfill near Ashland, KY. When smoke and fumes started impacting residential areas and nearby schools, the State of Kentucky requested assistance from EPA for air monitoring. OSC Webster, OSC Russell, START (Tetra Tech)and ERRS (CMC) have been dispatched to assist the State with air monitoring issues and controlling the fire.
