The Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) and Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requested U.S. EPA assistance in evaluating potential subsurface vapor intrusion in the North Dearborn Street area. The site is bounded by East Washington Street to the north, South Tuxedo Street to the east, South Gray Street to the west, and Clayton Street to the south. The Site encompassed the area designated by IDEM as the Lasalle Street Site. Within the site area there are several industrial facilities and former Superfund sites, which have had documented volatile organic compound (VOC) releases to soil and/or groundwater.

EPA conducted a site assessment in February 2014. The results of the assessment are documented in the Site Assessment Report, posted to the Documents section of this website. For additional information, please refer to the LaSalle Street Site.
