NRC# 864401 Denbury Onshore Pipeline Spill, Citronelle, AL. Saturday, Mar 08th, 2008. (complete) On During the early morning of 03/08/08, OSC Ullock and ADEMs Phil Wood investigated the report of a 4800 gallon oil leak from Well D-17-5 near Citronelle, Al. The RP reported that a two inch flowline nipple valve ruptured in immediate proximity of the well head. Contractors were quickly mustered and promptly arrived on scene and began conducting clean up operations under the direction of Denbury IC's. No water or forested bottomlands were impacted by this spill. Approximately 120 bbls of oil had been recovered by 1700 hrs on 03/08/08. The OSC reported that final surface scrapping, and disposal of contaminated soils will continue through 03/10/08.
