The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Office of Oil and Gas had discovered a well that was leaking oil in the town of Belmont, WV, and provided Region III with documentation and photos of the leaking oil well. The OSC conducted a Site visit and determined that there was a threat to the waters of the Ohio River. The OSC issued a PRFA to WVDEP in the amount of $49,000. WVDEP and its contractor conducted a Removal Action at the Site, which was completed on April 26, 2012.
