On September 11, 2012, EPA was notified by Washington Dept. of Ecology that the La Push Police Department had arrested a local person identified with a potential methamphetamine drug lab location in La Push, Washington (on the Quileute Reservation). Ecology referred the site to EPA Emergency Response. OSC Kathy Parker was deployed to the site with EPA START contractor resources. While EPA and START were enroute to the site, Washington State Police entered the residence with a warrant and determined no observable hazardous materials were present. The OSC terminated the response and canceled deployment of EPA response resources.
