On July 16, 2012 at approximately 2200hrs, a gasoline tanker rollover occurred on Interstate 95 southbound at Exit 36. An initial estimate of approximately 8000 gallons of gasoline were released to land with impact to a storm culvert adjacent to the highway that flows to the Aberjona River. This Tier-4 situation prompted response from multiple local fire and police departments along with Department of Fire Services, MassDEP, and U.S. EPA.
