A traffic accident involving a box truck led to the release of sulfuric acid from a 275 gallon tote. Material is leaking outside of the truck, which was moved to a church parking lot after the accident occurred. Atlanta Fire and Hazmat responded and evacuated a 1/2 mile radius. Atlanta Fire and Hazmat also notified EPA Phone Duty and requested assistance. EPA Phone Duty Officer dispatched OSC Webster and START to provide oversite and assistance, and notified GA EPD of the incident.
