The site is an inactive electroplating facility, located in Fall River, Massachusetts. The City foreclosed on the property for non-payment of taxes on 9 August, 2012. The City allowed the owner to shut down operations at the facility in an orderly manner and remove any useable material. On 24 August, 2012 the City secured the facility and all operations were shut down.

At that time, EPA, MassDEP and the Fall River Fire Department inspected the facility and identified hazardous materials and hazardous wastes remaining on site. Approximately 12 various sized open top rectangular-shaped vats, as well as two large tanks were observed containing thousands of gallons of acidic and caustic waste water. Numerous drums and other containers with labeled chemicals, wastes and unknown substances were also present.
