A 15,000 gallon release of non pcb transformer oil was reported to the NRC on the evening of June 2 from an Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) substation in Fort Smith, AR. According to the NRC report, the oil entered a nearby ditch, travelled west, and entered the Poteau River. OG&E has requested that EPA take the lead on the spill. OSC Adams, START and ERRS have been activated and are responding.

OG&E assumed lead response at the beginning of operations on 06/04/13.
