The Ordnance Products, Incorporated Superfund Site (NPL) conducted a vapor intrusion study in 2009-2010. Recently, indoor air and subslab vapor data was reevaluated due to changes in residential air Regional Screening Levels (RSL). The review indicated that two private residences had indoor air levels of trichloroethylene (TCE) above a Hazard Index (HI) of 3. According to EPA Region 3's Interim Final Vapor Intrusion Framework, indoor air contaminants above a HI of 3 would qualify for a Removal Action.

Following the recent data review, the Remedial Project Manager (RPM) for OPI requested assistance in conducting the Removal Action at the two homes. The OSC will speak with residents to discuss any issues regarding the Removal Action.
