The Site is approximately 1/4 acre in size, and the location of a former marble maker, Champion Agate Inc. Heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, selenium, and arsenic have been found in the soil and in the piles of glass cullet still on the property.  It is thought these metals were in the pigments and dyes used in the marble manufacturing process.
