At 10:30 on 3/21/11 Telephone Duty received an NRC report for a mercury spill of one teaspoon located in Atlanta, Georgia. The spill ocurred several months ago in the basement of a home. The spill apparently came from a tool used to work on motercycles. The resident of the home attempted to clean up the spill using paper towels. The tool was bagged and set outside the home. The resident stated that even after a few months there were visible beads of mercury outside the basement door. OSC Patel was dispatched to determine the disposition of the mercury and impacts to the home.
