Saginaw River Sediment Dioxin Contamination Site (Wickes Park)

 

The Site is approximately .5 miles downstream of the confluence of the Shiawassee, and Tittabawassee Rivers between river miles 21 and 22 of the Saginaw River. The known area of contamination at present is approximately 75 feet by 150 feet. The Site is located adjacent to Wickes Park in the City of Saginaw and is adjacent to the City of Saginaw’s abandoned boat launch. This Site is the highest level of contamination found to date for the Tittabawassee River Dioxin Spill Site.
