There are actually two locations were wastes are stored. The first is at 548 Wildwood Avenue, which is the Potential Responsible Party’s (PRP) home address. The hazardous wastes at 548 Wildwood Avenue are located in the PRP’s garage. The garage is not attached to the house. It is a two story two car garage. One of the two garage doors does not close and windows are missing from the second door. Sixty 5-gallon pails and eight 55-gallon drums of wastes was stored with no regard to chemical compatibility and container stability. Also, there is a slight tilt to the garage, making it very unstable.
The second location is 100 Rochester Avenue, where the 45 foot tractor trailer is located. 100 Rochester Avenue is the physical address for the Philadelphia Furniture Company. The trailer was rented by the PRP from Ken’s Trucking Company of Salamanca. The trailer was in very good condition. It is unknown how and who placed the drums into the trailer. The PRP did not give is information however, the PRP stated that the wastes was mostly furniture stripper and strains. The local police department put a lock on the fifth wheel of the trailer, ensuring that the trailer could not moved. One hundred 5-gallon pails and 57 55-gallon drums were inside the trailer. As with the garage, the containers in the trailer was stored with no regard to chemical compatibility and container stability.
