EPA OSCs Jones and Jardine remain on-site with 2 START personnel to conduct air monitoring, monitor the tank, oversee transfer activities, and coordinate with other local authorities. The East Point Fire Department has the primary lead for the incident. The Fulton County EMA has the lead for the evacuation. Georgia EPD is also on-site. As of 1200 hrs, the Responsible Party's contractor, with assistance from the fire department, began grounding the tanks and preparing to begin transferring the remaining product into a secure tank. Transfer of the product should begin within the hour and last for approximately 2 hours. Once the situation is stabilized, consideration will begin for lifting evacuations and closures.
