Orphan well on the abandoned on-shore production facility known as the Irons Farm was found by the first responders (local fire hazmat) below grade, beneath the flower bed, alongside of the sidewalk to this private residence. The wooden pallet had been place over the open hole as a safety precaution and sorbent pads deployed as a contingeny.
Date Taken: 11/8/2016
Category: Site Photo
Latitude:
Longitude:
Tags:
close-up of the abandoned orphan well. All surface equipment (jack, oil line, gas line, etc.) removed from the well location many years ago. At least the first joint of surface casing appears to have also been removed, as only some wooded conductor retains the integrity of the well bore.
Date Taken: 11/8/2016
Category: Site Photo
Latitude:
Longitude:
Tags:

first responders (local fire hazmat) initiated defensive actions, with an underflow dam backed with sorbents constructed in the clearly defined channel of the unnamed intermittent tributary and a tertiary sorbent boom deployed just upstream of the confluence of the unnamed intermittent tributary to the navigable waters of the U.S. - a wetland and an unnamed perennial stream (unnamed tributary to Bakers Run).
Date Taken: 11/8/2016
Category: Site Photo
Latitude:
Longitude:
Tags:
