This is the entrance to the crawl space under the flooring in the Commerce Construction Services equipment storage area. The storage area is located to the east central side of the facility, near the railroad tracks (reference point). EPA / START personnel sampled (confined space entry/exit procedures were utilized) the soil under the flooring. The sample results came back reading near background for this area, Because of a concern for possible radon exposure, an E-Perm was set up in the storage room (the soil under the flooring was reading twice background (> 26 microR/hr) so we decided to test for the presence of radon in this room).
