Asbestos Removal from Former Navajo Forest Products, Inc. (NFPI) Property

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) is working with the Red Lake Chapter (Navajo Nation) and the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency to address asbestos at the former Navajo Forest Products Inc. (NFPI) property. The USEPA’s work will include removing asbestos and demolishing the former wood kiln building.
• Work starts the week of July 5, 2021
• Work hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday
• Three to four months to complete.
• Security on the property when staff are not present.
