September 6, 2004: Labor Day Holiday September 7, 2004: 1 OSC, 1 PST, 2 START, 4 ERRS; ERRS continuing to consolidate potentially clean items into lots for assessment by the START. ERRS began to build shielding for a low background area. START conducting air surveillance. The START updating Consolidated HASP. September 8, 2004: 1 OSC, 1 PST, 2 START, 4 ERRS; ERRS continuing to consolidate potentially clean items into lots for assessment by the START. ERRS continued to build shielding for a low background area. START conducting air surveillance. September 9, 2004: 1 OSC, 1 PST, 2 START, 4 ERRS; ERRS continuing to consolidate potentially clean items into lots for assessment by the START. ERRS finished building the shielding for a low background area. START conducting air surveillance. The START conducted gamma screening of 50 lots of items. Several radium containing dials were detected. September 10, 2004: 1 OSC, 1 PST, 1 START, 4 ERRS; ERRS continuing to consolidate potentially clean items into lots for assessment by the START. START conducting air surveillance. The START conducted alpha screening of 50 lots for fixed and removable alpha contamination. Several contaminated items were discovered and placed with the other radium containing items.

1. Receipt and implementation of written Community Involvement Plan from project CIC. 2. Receipt, review of ERRS scope-or-work to be used for radiological waste management solicitations by ERRS. 3. CHP review of the data for cleared items and the release of these items - Week of September 13, 2004. 4. Deployment of a health physics subcontractor through ERRS to aid in the packaging of radioactive waste for disposal - Week of September 13, 2004. 5. Release of clean items to business owner - Week of September 13, 2004.
1. Receipt of Request for Federal Action from State. ORC and the State attorney are presently working on this issue. 2. City of Los Angeles Local Enforcement Agency has prohibited the disposal of any solid waste from the site within the City limits. 3. Project gray-water analytical and discharge requirements to the sanitary sewer are confirmed and need to be documented in a brief QASP. 4. Compliance conference with PRPs on Order.
