1.Storm sewer manholes and pumping station are being vacuumed off as needed in order to prevent any discharge to the lake. 2. Wet well at the waste water treatment plant was skimmed off and the sanitary line has been cleaned and flushed. Waste water plant is now operating optimally on its own and the connection from storm sewer has been terminated. 3. As of December 28, 2006 the contractors working for the RP stopped all work and left site because the owner /operator (RP) put stop payment on the cheque issued to the prime contractor and refused to make payments. 4. USEPA immediately mobilized C&W tank Co., a BOA contractor (already on site as sub to Insight ,Inc ) to continue to provide response and removal of product from storm sewer, maintain the boom on lake erie and to ensure that oil product does not migrate off site. 5. USEPA enforcement team is working to have the owner sign an eccess agreement in order to continue the response activities on site under the OPA account.USEPA may have to get an order to force the RP to sign the access agreement.
