Site Description

Current Activities
1. C&W Tank Cleaning company , BOA contractor has continued to provide response and removal of oil product from storm sewer and pumping station and has maintained boom in lake erie.
2. C&W sub-contractor Remediation Unlimited ,Inc. mobilized a mobile oil/water separator unit on site and installed it on January 23,2007 to treat accumulating products in the trench and recoery wells south of the building. Because of complications caused by frozen water in the pipes left by PRP contractor, the unit could not be operated untill after all the lines were defroasted . The unit became operational on January 26, 2007.
3.Catskills company, a subcontractor to C&W completed lining of 9 catch-basins associated with the site on January 31, 2007.This will prevent seepage of oil and ground water into storm water system.
4.On January 29, 2007 C&W crews completed dewatering of one open trench left by PRP contractor north of the building and subsequently installed the collection pipes and back filled the trench with optimum compaction to the level necessary for manifolding into recovery system.
5.Accumulated oil-water waste was disposed off site at Usher oil Company on 12-29-06 and 1-09-07 .Oil-sanitary water mixed waste  is being disposed at EQ in Belleville, Mi


Planned Removal Actions
1. Continue to operate oil water separator .Dispose off remaining waste on site.
2. Jet-rod (cleanout ) the storm and sanitary lines and lift station and put the lift station on auto run after cleaning. This in anticipated to be done when weather gets better possibly middle of next week).
3.Conduct extent of contamination (geoprobing) in the north part of the site (diesel spill area) .
4.Install additional collection wells and manifold all collection areas into a permanent treatment system.
