Current Activities
1.C&W Tank Cleaning Company , BOA contractor has continued to provide response and removal of oil product from storm sewer and pumping station and has maintained boom in lake erie.

2.A warrant for access to the Sunoco station property was obtained from US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan and served  on January 17, 2007.

3.As of 2.30 PM on January 17, 2007 C&W initiated containment and skimming operations on site at the Sunoco property. Accumulated oil product is being removed from the recovery trench and recovery wells installed by Insight ,Inc (PRP contractor)  prior to their demobilization  , but not yet connected to a pumping and treatment system.  Open trenches on the north side of the property had filled up with water and  oil and are being pumped as well.


Planned Removal Actions
1.continue preventive measures to contain and recover oil product on site and to ensure no furthur release to lake erie occurs.
2.Spec out and install an oil water separator and recover all accumulated  product from recovery trench and recovery wells
3.Evaluate the extent of contaminated soil to be removed
4.Dispose of accumulated oil -water and oil -sanitary waste stored in Frac tanks on site.
5.Conduct Site characterization to detemine extent of contamination.
6.Evaluate long term O&M needs of the Oil water separator.
