Site Description
The former Shamrock Dry Cleaners Site is located on lots 017 and 018 of the Town of Derry Tax Map No. 30. Former structures included a commercial dry cleaning operations building located at No. 3 Railroad Avenue (Lot 017), and an unoccupied apartment building located at No. 5 Railroad Avenue (Lot 018).  The geographic coordinates, as measured from the center of the property, are 42° 52.838” north latitude and 71° 19.535” west longitude.  The Site is bordered by commercial properties to the west, a pedestrian right of way and apartment complex (Landmark Apartments) to the south, Railroad Avenue to the east, and commercial and residential properties to the north. Commercial dry-cleaning businesses formerly operated on the Site (in the No. 3 Railroad Avenue building) from approximately 1950 – 2001.  The former structures were demolished in August 2005; however a portion of the concrete foundation still exists, as well as an area vegetated with trees and brush on the southeastern side of the property.
