Current Activities
The 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile(tear gas agent) has been shipped off site for disposal or sale. The manifests for the drums and containers of waste awaiting disposal have been completed.

Planned Removal Actions
Disposal of the remaining waste is scheduled for the end of August. Removal of asbestos located in the area of two, 10,000 gal heating oil tanks is pending final contractor approval. Final decision on the fate of soils sampled at a location behind the mill and adjacent to the Walloomsac River pends OSC review and approval.

Next Steps
1) Work with PRP to complete transport of drums staged for disposal;
2) Oversee PRP removal of asbestos contaminated material located in area of two, 10,000 gal oil storage tanks;
3)Oversee removal or close-out of two, 10,000 gal oil storage tanks located on the site, in compliance with SPCC regulations;
4) Final determination of fate of soils sampled behind the mill and adjacent to the Walloomsac River.
